Stephen M. Premo, Managing Partner

Stephen has represented people in sensitive, high-stakes matters involving allegations of securities and wire fraud, False Claims Act violations, discrimination, whistleblower retaliation, breaches of fiduciary duty, deceptive trade practices, labor trafficking, criminal sexual misconduct, as well as foreign and domestic corporate espionage. In the course of representing multiple whistleblowers, Stephen has coordinated with multiple regulatory and law enforcement agencies in high-profile government investigations featured on the front page of the Wall Street Journal. His work on behalf of whistleblowers and victims of civil rights violations has led to several million-dollar recoveries. As an active member of the Minnesota chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association, Stephen authors amicus briefs and legislation to advance workers’ rights in Minnesota. Stephen is also an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law School, where he teaches the school's Employment Law Clinic.

Matthew A. Frank, Managing Partner

Matt represents people who have suffered discrimination, retaliation, or other civil rights violations. He has a track record of success at all stages of his clients' cases, including settlement negotiation, motion practice, trial, and appeal. For his work, Matt has been repeatedly named to the Minnesota Lawyer Employment Law POWER 30, an honor that recognizes those lawyers "whose presence on a case signifies the stakes, who have influenced the direction of the law, whose leadership in the community is pervasive and whose respect within the bar is undeniable.” ​ Matt is also a past President and Board Member the Minnesota chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association.​ Before entering private practice, Matt attended University of Michigan Law School as a Clarence Darrow Scholar, an award given to a select few based on their “outstanding scholastic achievements, as well as the sense that they will one day go on to a remarkable career.”
